I got a few updates! As most of you know, I started working full-time on Trapital in February and recently passed the one-year mark.
I’m excited to announce that I’m launching a freemium model. My weekly articles will still be free and widely available. You will still get them in your inbox. I created a premium tier to create more valuable content. Here’s what’s included:
Member Updates
Three times a week, I will write a short update (~500 words) on the most important hip-hop business news story of the day. I will also cover hip-hop’s intersections with the rest of the music industry, entertainment, and pop culture as its relevant. Members will get these updates emailed to them in addition to the free weekly article. Members can also log in and read these updates on the Trapital website.
Discussion Forum
Trapital members will be invited to a private discussion forum where we will network, debate hip-hop, discuss articles, you name it.
Members will also get early access to future Trapital perks, so stay tuned! The program will launch on Monday, May 13.
Join today
If you sign up today, your membership will start on May 13. Annual membership is $100. Monthly membership is $10. Anyone who signs up for the annual membership between now and then will get a free Trapital t-shirt! These shirts are dope and good quality, trust me.

I’ll also offer group memberships at a discount for companies and universities that want to sign up 5 or more people. Email me at info [at] trapital.co and we’ll chat. If you want some tips to pitch your boss, I got you!
If you want to support Trapital beyond your personal membership, you can gift a membership to someone else.
New Website – Trapital.co
Trapital’s got a new home! I created this site to establish an exclusive home for the brand and maintain flexibility as I grow. Browse around and let me know what you think.
My goal from the jump has been to elevate the discussion on hip-hop. I’ve always said that we can learn just as much from Beyonce and Drake as we can from Sheryl Sandberg and Jeff Bezos.
I am hopeful that Trapital’s business model will let me continue doing the work I love, grow the audience, and serve all the folks who want to elevate the discussion on hip-hop. We’re still in the early days, but I’m optimistic on the future.
Thanks again for reading Trapital. More updates coming soon… Appreciate y’all!
